The Consolation Stakes, open to all unsuccessful competitors, were shot for at the Kaikorai Putts this morning at 5 o’clock, at ranges of 200, 400, and 500 yards, Wimbledon targets, and scoring, 5 shots at each distance, Hythe position at all ; four prizes, viz., £4, £3, £2, and £1 : 200 400 500 Yards. Yards. Yards. Tot. Gunner Glendimiing, Artillery 14 17 15 Private Johnston, Scottish 15 16 14 Sergeant Douglas, No. 1, City Guards 14 15 14 Sergeant Lindsay, North Dunedin 12 19 11 Another squad was firing when our reporter left. There will he a battalion parade of the Dunedin Volunteer Artillery Regiment in front of the Custom House on Friday evening next at seven o’clock.
