THIS DAY. (Before their Honors Judges Richmond and Chapman.) The Court sat in Banco at 10 o’clock. Mr Tolmie, a defaulting special Juror, at last sitting, was fined 20s if paid in the course of the day—otherwise the fine set on him of £5 would be inflicted. Arbitration. LONNIE V. DICE (SUPERINTENDENT). Mr Barton moved to discharge rule, making submission a rule of Court. Granted. RE. HENRY SMYTHIES. The above gentleman was, on the motion of Mr Harvey, admitted to practice as a Solicitor of this Court. A rhitration. JOHN LOGAN V. ALLAN / GALT. Mr Barton for Mr Logan, moved that submission be made a rule of the Court. Granted. RE. HENRY ROGERS. Mr Barton moved for Mandamus to compel the Waste Land Board to receive an application for a depasturing license. COOTE V. TURNBULL. Mr Smith moved for Rule Nisi for new trial on the ground of misdirection or non-direction of Jury. Granted. M‘Nab v. M‘Kan. —Argument of Demurrer* Mr Smith appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Macassey for the defendant. Demurrer allowed. Judgment for plaintiff, with costs. Bird v. M'Lean. Mr Smith moved for rule nisi for New Trial, on the ground of non-admission of evidence. This cause was being argued when our reporter left.
