WAR IN CUILI.

The Record, which arrived from Valparaiso, brings dates to the 10th October, and the following particulars are courteously supplied to us by Messrs Bright Bros, and Co. : Chili had declared war against Spain, whose fleet had blockaded her ports. The following are a few of the vessels captured by the latter :—Adam Sedgwick, West Australian, Elizabeth Hargrove, Ismay, Nauphante, Egbert, San Carlos (English steamer), Napoleon (French). The Banks had stopped payment, and had issued 4£ millions of paper currency. Ships were being taken up by the English for the removal of their families. Colonial merchants are instructed to stop the return of flour vessels to Chili, and -are ordered not to send remittances. On the morning the Record left, 23 vessels succeeded in running the blockade.
