The Dunedin Volunteers will be busy this evening on the occasion of battalion parade. The No, 2 (Scottish Company) will hold a meeting afterwards for important business ; and the Naval Brigade will meet to nominate a first-class petty officer. The friendly rifle match between ten of the East Taieri Rifle Corps and a like number of the Bruce Rifles is to take place at the Taieri Butts on Saturday next. The Bruce team are to muster at the powder magazine at 4.30 a.m, on Saturday morning to proceed to the place of action. The ranges are 150, 200, 250, and 300 yards—five shots at each range.
[The Editor will he obliged by Officers and Secretaries of all Volunteer Corps supplying him with any items of information interesting to Volunteers , such as the Scores of Matches, <kc. All communications received before two o'clock p.m. will be inserted the same evening. ]
