Gold Discoveries in Auckland. The Auckland papers contain further particulars of tlie_ alleged discovery of gold at Wangarei, but the circumstances are strongly suggestive of an attempt to deceive the Government. The person -who proposed to have found gold accompanied a party, and from beneath some boulders m a creek produced 2 pieces of quartz containing gold. Nothing further was discovered.
