FATAL EXPLOSION

CARENTAN, Oct. 28.
At.least 35 persons, including sevens American soldiers and 24 German prisoners of war, lost their lives following an explosion yesterday outside the village of Asnieres-en-Bessin. The American soldiers were negro lorry■'■•.drivers who were supervising prisoners loading munitions on to army lorries. The cause of the ? explosion is ■
