LONDON, October 25,
British and American war leaders, including General ' Eisenhower, Air Marshal Tedder, Field-Marshal Montgomery, General Freyberg, Lord Alan Brooke, and leading figures in public life, including the American Ambassador (Mr. J. G. Winant) and Lord Gowrie, were among a large group on whom Oxford University conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws in the Sheldonian Theatre today.
