RAILWAY WORKERS' SUPPORT

■ A combined meeting of the Woburn branch .of the A.S.R.S. and E.T.A. yesterday passed the following motion in support of the Indonesian demand for freedom:—.

"We associate ourselves with the stand taken by our fellow workers- in Australia and the waterside workers in Wellington and. Auckland in support of the Indonesian people's demands for freedom and independence. Furthermore, we call upon the Government and the Federation of Labour to openly declare themselves in favour of the Indonesians being' granted the right of self-government as a colonial people." ' The motion was carried unanimously by more than 800 workers.
