SERVICE TO RESUME
The Montreal-Australia-New Zealand Line, Ltd., announces the resumption of its regular monthly service tp New York, Boston, and Saint John, or Montreal, in Canada. This has been made possible by the British Ministry of War Transport securing the re-entry of British vessels into what was pre-war purely a British trade from Australia and New Zealand to the east coast ports of the United States and Canada.
' The Port Saint John (Port Line Agency) will reopen the trade from Australia in November, and the City of Durham (Federal Steam Navigation Company, Ltd.) will follow, loading in New Zealand late in December and sailing early in January.
A fine fleet of ships' was engaged in this trade shortly before the war. It comprised the Kaikoura, Kaimata, Kaipaki, Kaituna, Port Halifax, Port Montreal, Port Saint John, City of Canberra, City of Delhi, and City of Glasgow. These ships are still under Imperial Government requisition, running under the British Ministry of War Transport, but it is expected that in accordance with their policy they will revert to their old trade as soon as possible and so be in a position to carry on their regular running when the requisition ends.
