SENSATION AT POTSDAM

IMPLICATIONS OF THE NEWS Rec. 11.10 a.m. LONDON, July 26

Potsdam was spellbound at the news of Labour's election triumph in Britain, says the correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain. The sensational victory crashed through the holiday calm and produced the political sensation of the war among the delegations of the three great Powers.

The first impression was that Mr. Attlee would extend to Mr. Churchill an invitation to return as a member of the delegation, but few seemed to think, he would accept it. It is believed that Mr. Attlee will return within two or three days or that the conference recess will become a formal adjournment. Reuters correspondent says there is little doubt that Mr. Attlee, whose presence at Potsdam was dictated by the necessity to cover the contingency which has now arisen, will be able to take the talks forward from, the point where Mr. Churchill relinquished them.
