LUXEMBURG ARMY
LUXEMBURG, July 24. For the first time in its history, the Duchy of Luxemburg has founded an army. It will be trained on British" lines, with an American West Point traduate, Lieutenant-Colonel Arnold ommer, as its chief of staff. The idea grew out of Allied plans for using man-power available in liberated countries, and it received the prompt approval of the Grand Duchess Charlotte and Prince Felix, who fought in the war as a brigadier in the British Army, and who saw the liberation of Luxemburg from the ton of one of General Patton's tanks. The Duchess has signed new laws legalising the army, the strength of which is already 1825. It is equipped by the British and fed by the Americans.
