COMMAND OF AIR FORCE
Rec. 9 a.m. WASHINGTON, July 25. Lieutenant-General Ira Eaker, deputy commanding general of the Army Air Forces, announced that LreutenantGeneral Nathan Twining will become commander of the 20th Air Force on August 1. The present commander, General Curtis Le May, will become Chief,; of Staff for the Strategic Air Forces in the Pacific. General Eaker said that General Le May had been appointed Chief of Staff at the personal request of General Spaatz.
