Morrison, in his presidential address to the Counties' Association conference today, said as many men as possible must be diverted to food production. "But farm labour will not be procurable unless suitable housing is available," he added. "For a time housing may have to be in the form of comfortable Army huts, but houses of a reasonable size and well equipped must be available in the future if married couples are to remain on the land."
