PALMERSTON NORTH, This Day. When jumping the country at Awapuni on Tuesday morning Ascot Bloom broke both his hind legs at the board fence.
Lahgue dOr has rejoined C. J. Thomson's, team. This trainer leaves for the south on Monday; with Foxiana, Arco, Renascor and Kaitoa, and J. J. Waller is taking Lightfair. L. Knapp leaves on Friday with Kanui Te Pai, and H. Griffiths is to go down on Tuesday with Red Glare. Da Vinci and Kilmanagh went through last night.
