LONG SERVICE
WELLINGTON OFFICIALS
Two officials who have long assisted in the able management of Wellington meetings are Messrs. U. Shannon and C. A. Low, the former in the capacity of time-keeper and clerk-of-scales, and the latter as a member of the totalisator staff. The past meeting of the local club marked the 28th year in which Mr. Shannon has carried out,his duties, and Mr. Low's association dates even further back, his connection extending to 35 years. For many years Mr. Low has been in charge of the bank in the totalisator house, and thus escapes the notice of the big majority of regular patrons.
