GOLD FOR CHINA
CHUNGKING, July 22,
The Prime Minister, Mr. T. V. Soong, negotiated during his recent visit to the United States agreements for the shipment to China of large quantities of gold and cloth. The Chinese Government will sell the gold to absorb the vast inflation of the note circulation. The cloth will be. distributed at reasonable prices in an effort to lower mounting costs.
