Rec. 11 a.m. RUGBY, September 4. A communique from General Bor on the situation in Warsaw states: "The old city has fallen, owing to the overwhelming technical superiority of the enemy. The centre of the city is under heavy artillery fire and is being subjected to increasing bombing. There
are widespread fires. The suburb of Mokotow is exposed to harassing artillery fire and aerial bombardment. Our units have evacuated the locality of Sadyba, within the Boundaries of Greater Warsaw."—B.O.W.
