CHARGE SHEET GROWS
Rec. 10 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 4. The control commission in Rome announced that from 800 to 1000 persons were shot or beaten to death in Rome during the German occupation, on the direct orders of the German Security Command. The statement added that all the personnel listed at German headquarters would be held responsible for participation in the brutalities Three Germans, Herbert Kappler, Karl Wolff, and Hauptmann yon Schultz, are named, with a pledge that they, would be court-martialled if they are ever found alive in Allied hands.
