BELGIAN '&. DUTCH LEADERS Rec. 1 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 3. General Eisenhower tonight announced the appointment of MajorGeneral Yvon Gerard as commander of all units- of the Belgian .Forces of the Interior at present engaged in combat. Simultaneously Queen Wilhelmina, broadcasting to Holland, announced Prince Bernhard's appointment., Prince Bernhsrd also broadcast , a message to the Dutch. i The Belgian Prime Minister, M. Pieri lot, broadcast instructions to the" Belgians. Leaflets dropped in Belgium i I from Allied planes stated: "This is the supreme moment to fulfil your task loyally. If all play their part. the liberation Jof Belgium: will be achieved quickly." The Belgian- Forces of the Interior radio announced that the secret Belgian army, of about:one million men, has received its battle orders. , ■ , • -; • '
