WARNING TO GERMANS
ACTION FOR ATROCITIES
Rec. noon. LONDON, September 3. The status of the Belgian Army of Resistance was denned, by General Eisenhower in a broadcast to the German., forces in Belgium from an American broadcasting station in Europe. He said: "Important Allied contingents are already fighting on Belgian territory. I therefore direct the following statement to the German officers and men. in Belgium:— I "'A Belgian Army of Resistance is at this moment .'fighting, side by side with the Allied forces./ It has received orders to carry out its operations against the Wehrmacht in accordance with military laws. I consider it as being under my command. lam determined not to neglect anything leading to the identification of the authors of all and any atrocities committed against members, of the armed forces under my command. Culprits will be called to account for their actions.'"
