On the Allied left the First Canadian Army continues to roll up the German remnants struggling homewards along the coast. n General Crerar has got armour across the Somme near Abbeville, 'despite enemy demolitions of bridges, and there is every sign that the Germans are going to pull out of Belgium and the' Pas Calais. The Allies have fought their way into the outskirts of Le Havre where the German suicide garrison is blowing up the port. At Brest, German positions are being repeatedly attacked by American aircraft.
