MR. A. C. NORDEN

P.A. AUCKLAND, This Day. The death has occurred of Mr. Augustus Charles Norden, of A. C. Nbrden and Company, merchants, Auckland. He was a well-known oarsman and for many years served on the Auckland Rowing Association in various capacities. 'He was sole selector for the North Island in 1933. He was also associated with other sports, including hockey and football. He interested himself.in education and the welfare of schools, and in local and national politics, and served on the Auckland branch of the New Zealand • National Party. From 1923 he was a member of the executive of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. He served in the war of 1914-18.
