CHANGE IN COMMAND
GEN. EISENHOWER EXPLAINS

General Eisenhower, supreme commander of the Allied Expeditionary iorce, who returned to London today froni France, said that General O. N. Bradley was the over-all commander of the American forces in northern France, equal to General Montgomery. Anypne inferring frp.in the' rearrangements of the Allied command in France that General Montgomery" has peen "demoted" w^s entirely wrong, said General Eisenhower at a conference with correspondents accredited to SHAEF, The time had merely came when, having broken out of the bridgehead, General Bradley had to take over the part which was originally assigned to him.
