BUS OVERLOADING

Sir, —I wonder how much longer the transport authorities are going to permit the bus which leaves for Karori at noon to be so grossly pvei-loaded women and children laden with parcels being pushed about while passengers get on and off at--the various stopping points. Surely it is hot economical to ask an engine to labour up' the hills m- low gear, not to speak of the extra wear on the tyres. Will the authorities wait for an accident b«tore they compel the Northland bus (which sits daily without a driver at the starting point) to be put on the run again? —I am, etc., MOTHER OF FOUR.
