ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
At a meeting of the management committee of the Wellington Football Association this ! week advice was received that a representa- | tive Air Force team from the- South Island I will play Wellington on Saturday. The Air Force team, which includes some well-known players, is: Turkington, Friedberg, Elazey, Vaney, Cook, Pattinson, Ling, Swain, Wilkinson, Young, Nauman, and Carey. Mr. E. Gates, Wellington selector, has chosen tha following to represent Wellington:— Morris (Comrades), Flaus (University), R. Xunns (Marist), MeSloy (Hutt), . Houston (Training College), Duffy (Marist), Walls (University), Sharp oroera), McKlniey Railways), Bell (Railways), Updiurch (Technical Old Boys), and Gates. Any player unable to play is asked to advise the secretary of the W.F.A. It was decided to send tyro secondary and one primary schools team to play at Palmerston North on September 16. Players and coaches will have an opportunity of seeing five films on Soccer football at an evenings which Is being arranged in September for the presentation of cups and representative certificates. Petone wero awarded a match against' Petone Technical Old Boys, who played two1 members of other clubs.
