THE EMPIRE FAMILY
The members of the big family that comprises the British Empire have common problems, but also common privileges. •■ Although all have their share of restrictions, wherever the British flag fiies will be found a high degree of that proudest of all British possessions—personal liberty. Certain, ly no member of the Empire knows, or ever has known, the oppression, the coercion, and the internal disruption that would come with a Prohibition law.
Several countries have tried Prohibition and have thrown it out. The United States of America gave Prohibition a thorough trial, lasting fourteen years and costing billions of dollars, repeal being carried by the biggest majority ever recorded on any question. In addition, every other country has either refused to consider the idea or has voted on it and refused to give it a trial.
Today no nation in the whole wide world has Prohibition, which is universally acknowledged to fere wrong in principle and disastrous in. practice.
At the forthcoming Elections electors must again cast their votes on the licensing referendum. Do not leave it to the "other fellow," as he .may be leaving it to you. Vote continuance —strike out the two bottom lines. Hold fast to Liberty.—AdVt.
