Speaking at Otordhanga -last night tHe Minister, of Marketing (Mr. Barclay) announced that the , final wool payments for the 1942-43 wool season would be made this week by the Marketing Department to the wool-brokers. The amount involved was approximately £2,250,000, consisting of 5 per cent, of the appraisal values in negotiable bonds and, 8f per cent, in cash, he said. With this final payment the industry would have received for the 1942-43 season in bonds and cash an average price of 12£ d per lb, plus 15 per cent, on all wool sold to the United Kingdom.
