LIVES SAVED ON KISKA
WASHINGTON, September 3. After an inspection of thp gun emplacements on the island it was estimated that 6000 American lives were saved by the Japanese flight from Kiska, in the Aleutians, said the acting Secretary of War, Mr. John J. - McCloy. . ____________
