EXCHANGE SHIP SAILS
WASHINGTON, September 3,
The War Department announced that the liner Gripsholm sailed yesterday for Mormugao, in Portuguese India, carrying 1330 Japanese civilians, Red Cross supplies, ahd parcels of food and clothing for Americans imprisoned in Japan.
The Gripsholm will meet a Japanese exchange ship, the Teia Maru, and will return with 1500 Americans.
