The market for Government loans is generally firm and business is rather more active than last week. Prices, compared with those of last week,- are as follows: — Aug. 26. Sept. 2. Consols, 3 Vs p.c. 80 . t79% Fund. Loan, 60-90 .... 114% 114% War Loan, 4% p.c 103% 103% , Cony. Loan, 61, 3% P-c. 103% 10313-16 Victory Bonds, 4 p.c. .. 112 15-16 112 15-16 N.Z., 49-53, 4Vs P-C. .. 103% 103 7-16 N.Z., 1953, 3 p.c. .... 100 t99 tEx interest. Consols at August 19 were 80 1-16, 4% p.c. War Loan 103%, '4& p.c. N.Z. 103%, and 3 p.c. N.Z. 100.
