MESSAGE TO LEADERS

A message on the anniversary of the outbreak of war was sent today by the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) to the Prime Ministers of South Africa, Australia, and Canada. The message was as follqws:—

"As we enter the fifth year of the common struggle, we in New Zealand look back with pride upon tHe contribution which the Dominions have made, and we desire to express our great satisfaction with the close cooperation which has existed between our two countries and our hope that the mutual adjustments which have been made in working for victory in war will provide a solid basis for similar co-operation to secure the larger ends of peace."
