The New Zealand branch of the British Drama ; League opened its twelfth annual festival, last ;•. night in the Tin Hat Club Hall. Plays presented were "A Girl For the Hall," by . th» :; Elizabeth McCombs group; "The Artist,r.-by. v;: the Unity Theatre; - and "Hullabaloo," by the i:■,:. Wellington East Old Girls' Dramatic Society.; s Mrs. Elsie I/loyd, adjudicator for the festival,; made helpful comments, on -the performance*J;1";.-: of individual members of the casts. ; The-first jK play was produced by lira. Grace, the second,- i'; by Mrs. N. L.
