ELECTION ARRANGEMENTS

A supplement to the Gazette issued last night contains the names of the returning officers who have been aj>pointed for the different electoral districts, the names of the returning officers for the Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin licensing districts, and the registrars of electors for the electoral districts. The registrar of electors for the six Wellington electoral districts is Mr. T. C. Bowker and for Hutt Mr. F. D. Knight. Mr. A.- L. Tresidder is the returning officer for , the Wellington licensing district. The returning officers for the Wellington electorates are: Messrs. T. C. Bowker (Wellington Central), J. R. Deal (Wellington East),/A. L. Tresidder (Wellington North)/ P. H. Wylde (Wellington South), D. S. Evans (Wellington Suburbs), D. A. Paterson (Wellington West), and F. D. Knight (Hutt). The supplement also sets out the polling places in each electorate. There are 12 polling places in the Hutt electoral district, 13 in. Wellington Central, 18 in Wellington East, 15 in Wellington' North, 12 in Wellington South, 36 in Wellington Suburbs, and 17 in Wellington West. A separate supplement ideals with arrangements for the elections in the four Maori districts.
