DULL; RAIN TO FOLLOW

Special forecast for Wellington:—

Strong north-westerly Minds

Weather continuing- dull with intermittent drizzle and later some heavy rain.

The further outlook is for a continuation oi1 unsettled weather.

The forecast for the Dominion issued at noon today is for northerly to north-westerly winds, fresh to strong from Taranaki and Hawke's Bay southwards, and gales later in some exposed positions, elsewhere moderate.

The weather will be dull and unsettled in western districts from Waikato southwards, with intermittent rain and drizzle, and there may be some heavy falls later in Westland. Elsewhere it will be fair to cloudy at first but rain will gradually extend during the weekend to the rest of the South Island and possibly to Wairarapa and southern Hawke's Bay. Temperatures will be moderate.

Scattered drizzle fell yesterday afternoon in parts of Taranaki, and last night in western areas of the Wellington Province. Elsewhere the weather has remained fair to fine with light or moderate winds. There were some hard frosts in Canterbury last night. Light winds and fine weather were experienced in all four main centres yesterday. In Wellington the maximum and minimum temperatures were n0.9 and 45.1.
