(P.A.) . GREYMOUTH, This Day. The Snowy River return was 50 ounces for 125 hours' work and 26,009 yards excavated. The Argo return was 41 ounces for 120 hours and 11.000 yards. The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Wailv.), Limited: —For the period ended May 3, comprising 17 crushing days, 12.509 ions of ore were crushed for a result of J30640z of gold and 19.8950z of silver. ! Ninth level. Boxall rise: The next 24ft is not payable. We are now on the point of holing the winze. (P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 23. Austral-New Zealand Dredge return, 840oz bullion for 28,000 yards and 421 hours for 28 days to midnight May 17.
Blackball Creek, 50oz for 130 hours. Maori Gold, 260z 14dwt from 6503 yards in 105 hours; ground "particularly tight, but showing improvement." Gillespie's Beach, no wash-up.
