PERSONAL NOTES
The Rev. W. A. Burley, President of the Methodist Conference, has arrived from Christchurch to take part in the Centenary celebrations of WesleyChurch.
The Rev. C. G. Hedley Bycroft, minister of the United " Congregational Church, Dunedin, arrived by steamer express this morning, and will be guest preacher for two Sundays at the Cambridge Terrace Congregational Church.
Mr. Harold Gatty, representative in New Zealand of Pan-American Airways, has returned from New Caledonia by air.
Squadron Leader A. A. N. Brechon, D.F.C., of Auckland, is returning to New Zealand shortly. He will be accompanied by his wife.
Governor-General Richard Bruno:, special envoy of General de Gaulle to French possessions in the Pacific, and Madame Brunot, accompanied by Captaia L. Fatoux, aide-de-camp, arrived at Auckland this week by the American Clipper irom New Caledonia. From Auckland they will go to Tahiti.
