DETAINED BY BRITAIN
TWO FRENCH OIL TANKERS
LONDON. May 22
Two French oil tankers have been detained by British naval forces in the Atlantic, according to Vichy reports quoted tonight by Rome.
One of the tankers is the Sheherazade (13,467 tons). The British granted this vessel a navicert -some time ago, but action has now been taken against her in view of Vichy's change of attitude.
