TRENTHAM'S SMALL TEAM
There will be but a small representation from Trentham at the Foxton Meeting tomorrow, and one of the acceptors, Tristan, may not make the trip. In a sprint over half a mile yesterday morning, run in 51sec, the unraced three-year-old Te Marua had the edge on him all the way. Eastern Sport, who did not begin too well at Otaki, ran six furlongs on the plough in lmin 17sec, the last halfmile in 51,1-ssec. Parchment took a couple of ticks longer for the same journey after running his first three furlongs in 39sec. Wakarara, also alone, slipped over half a mile in 49 4-ssec, and Leighon Rei scampered three furlongs in 36sec. The latter is a likely improver. Trench Law had the edge on Red Dash all the way in a seven furlongs task. After running the first three furlongs in 39sec, Trench Law drew clear to complete the full distance in lmin 31sec.
