RAID ON MALTA

-s». CIVILIAN CASUALTIES

VALETTA, May 21

After three raidless days bombers attacked Malta yesterday. Fairly heavy damage was done to civilian property. Some civilians were killed^and others who are missing are believed to be under debris.

Some damage was caused to an aerodrome, but there were no service casualties. One of our fighters which droye off the enemy was shot down, but' the pilot is safe.
