VICTORY NEEDED FIRST
BRITISH LABOUR'S POLICY
(Rec. 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 21.
A memorandum which the National Executive is submitting to the Labour Party Conference on June 2 states that even now, when the Axis Powers have revealed their nature in all its barbarism and brutality, a few faint, unrepresentative voices hint at the possibility of a compromise peace with the dictators. The British Labour movement declares again that it cannot have any part, directly or indirectly, in a policy of compromise and that total victory is a necessary prelude to a just peace.—U.P.A.
