KING'S BIRTHDAY GAMES

To assist the selector (Mr. E. J. Gates) in his choice of a Wellington Association football team to defend the F.A. Trophy against Auckland next month the management committee of the Wellington Football Association decided last night to play a Possibles v. Probables match as the principal game at- the Basin- Reserve on the King's Birthday holiday, Monday, June 2. The only other game that day will be between a Wanganui representative team and a Wellington colts' team, also on the Basin Reserve. Senior fixtures for Saturday week, May 31, were made as follows: — Waterside v. Seatoun, Basin No. 1; Miramar Rangers v. Hospital, Porirua; Marist v. Institute Old Boys, Anderson Park No. 1; Air Force, v. Technical Old Boys, Basin No. 2; Moera Stop Out v. Petone, Petone; Diamond v. Swifts, Kelburn. The transfers were approved of W. C. Whittingtbn from Moera Stop Out to Lower Hutt, W. K. McSloy from Lower Hutt to Petone, R. Dunlop from Diamond to Miramar Rangers, R. Flaws from Technical Old Boys to Miramar Rangers, L. Why te from Marist First B Division to Third Division, F. Cameron from Abels (Auckland) to Waterside, W. McGrory from Hospital to Swifts, and J. A. Fitzsimmons from Marist, Christchurch, to Marist, Wellington. '■
