NYASALAND LOYALTY
RUGBY, May 20. The King has sent the following message to the Nyasaland Legislative Council through the Secretary of State for the Colonies:—
"I learned with deep appreciation of the resolution of loyalty and devotion passed by the Legislative Council on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the proclamation whereby the territories now comprising Nyasaland were formally brought under the protection of Great Britain. I am fortified by the knowledge that the people of
Nyasaland, in common with all people throughout the British Commonwealth
of Nations, are united in their determination to ensure the triumph of the
