N.Z. DRUG PROFITS LOWER.
A net profit of £63,776 is reported by Kempthorne, Prosser, and Company's New Zealand Drug Company, Limited, for the year ended January 31, comparing with £78,418 in 1940 and £62,148 in 1939. Dividend is maintained at 8 per cent., per annum (final 4£ per cent.). A sum of £10,000 is to be added to general reserve, increasing it to £114,825, and £6475 to investment reserve, leaving £40,231 to be carried forward, against £39,880 brought in. Accounts are balanced at £1,325,549, against £1,155,097 a year ago. Creditors, including taxes, are £114,318 higher at £448,970. Stocks stand at £512,265, compared with £382,167. War Loan contribution amounted to £35,000.
