THEFT OF SHOES
Sidney Matangi, a labourer, aged 20, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment with hard labour by Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court, today, on a charge of stealing a pair of shoes. Detective-Sergeant W. McLennan said that Matangi was considered to be a very active thief. The accused was remanded until Wednesday on another charge of theft.
