RAID DAMAGE
ITALIAN ATTACKS
LONDON, November 1
In raids on Greek objectives by Italian planes, it is reported that bombs-were dropped in the centre of Salonika, and that the buildings damaged included a church, a hospital, and several private houses. It is reported that 3'o people were killed and 80 wounded, all civilians. !
The raid on Patras was also directed against the centre of the town. The casualties were five killed and 26 injured.
The Italian planes are reported to have been marked. with the Greek colours.
The raids on Piraeus, the port of Athens, caused an alert to be sounded in Athens, but no bombs fell there.
An attack on the Corinth Canal was a failure.
