BUILDING OF PLANES
MATTER OF NEW PROGRAMME
LONDON, November 1
President Roosevelt was asked at his Press conference today whether there would be a new aeroplane production programme based on Britain continuing the fight through the winter. He answered that such a programme was likely as soon as Congress reassembles after the election. Its objective would be to raise the United States capacity to 50,000 planes a year.
