FUN AND MISCHIEF

In America, Hallowe'en is very .popular. Not only :is it a night for holding parties and so on, but is used as an excuse for working off a grudge on someone. In a small town in Oregon there were many homes without fences surrounding them. One Hallowe'en, the boys of the neighbourhood gathered , all. the signposts available and planted them in the garden of a grumpy old man. This was an occasion, however, when the local police overlooked the matter, which was lucky for the boys. It is only when. boys begin to smash windows or destroy property that the police look into the matter.
