MR. ANGUS G. MACAULAY

The death occurred yesterday, after a brief illness, of Mr. Angus G. MacAulay, a well-known Wellington resident who had taken a prominent part in sport.- A son of Mr. Norman MacAulay, of Island Bay, he was born in Christchurch 43 years ago. He was a returned soldier, having served with the Wellington Mounted Rifles in the last war, and. a keen footballer, he was a member of the soldiers' team which won the Moascar Cup in Egypt. A good deal of his Rugby was played with the Athletic Football Club, and ■on'his return from the war he represented Wellington in some matches. Rowing was another sport which he took up with enthusiasm. He leaves his wife and one son (Mr. Norman MacAulay, who has been in camp at Wanganui with the Wellington Company of the Scottish Regiment). The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon.
