ARRIVAL AT SYDNEY
477 EVACUATED CHILDREN
SYDNEY, October 16
The first batch of children evacuated from the United Kingdom to Australia has landed. A specially-chartered liner brought 477 children between five and fifteen years of age, of whom 241 came to Sydney today. All were cheerful and well cared for.
