(To the Editor.) Sir, —In Monday's "Post" I read an article regarding vegetable prices and the high labour costs of production. Well,- Sir, I am a market garden employee and receive £4 per week of 44 hours. With the tax off this amounts jto £3 12s per week. Because we are covered by the Agricultural Workers' Act we did not receive the 5 per cent, increase as the employers are exempt, ifrom paying it. Surely this is a case where the Government should step in and see that the large body of workers who come under this Act receive a fair standard of living.—l am, etc., j NOT ABLE TO EXIST,
